Booking Info

Call or email us to confirm availablity. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservations with a balance due 60 days prior to your arrival. We are happy to accept your personal check or you can pay with a credit card in which we will send you a PayPal invoice. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay through PayPal. We do, however, pass along PayPal’s 3% credit card fee for processing.

What's the weather going like?

The consistent and balmy weather of the Virgin Islands is what makes it a premier holiday destination virtually year round. In the winter, the average high is 80F; the average low is 72F. In the summer, the average high temperature is 87F, with a low of 76F. Our cooling tropical trade winds average around 15 to 20 knots, which makes it feel cooler than the temperature suggest. October/November tend to be our rainiest months of the year, while March/April are the driest. September is the most active for hurricanes, and as such, you will notice many of the villas, stores, and restaurants are closed for that month. This allows many businesses to do long-term maintenance and refurbishment for the upcoming season.

Will my cell phone work on St John?

There is no land line telephone at the villa. Check with your service provider to confirm that they service the Virgin Islands ..and that you won’t incur any roaming charges! Most carriers provide good signal in and around Cruz Bay. Signal on the Coral Bay side and south to Salt Pond/Lameshur can be weak to non-existent depending on your provider. Be aware that in and around Coral Bay you may inadvertently pick up the tower on Tortola (BVI) – and could incur international roaming charges!

What should I bring?

The villa comes equipped with bed linens, bath and beach towels, hair dryer, cooler and beach chairs for the beach, and a courtesy supply of soap, paper towels, toilet tissue and cleaning supplies, etc. Dress attire is very casual; shorts, t-shirts, swimsuits, sandals and nice tropical wear for evenings out. You probably want to bring sunscreen, hats, and personal toiletry items. However, there is a local drug store to purchase these items as well. If you plan to visit any of the British Virgin Islands (BVIs) be sure to bring your passport. And don't forget to bring your camera to capture the highlights of your holiday.

Do I need to rent a car?

Exploring St. John with your own rental car is an experience not to be missed and we do advise having one with four-wheel drive to navigate the rustic roads, hillsides and switchbacks that are common. And since you are only a couple, we suggest renting the smaller two door Jeeps that will make it easier for you navigate our narrow and winding roads, parking and turning around in the parking pad at the villa. We recommend Courtesy Car Rental on St. John. Let them know that you are renting Villa459, which is in North Chocolate Hole. Their contact information is as follows:

FAQs

Arrival info

Upon your arrival here on St. John, we will greet you at your designated car rental location (we are happy to suggest some of our preferred car rental companies, most whom will meet you at the dock and take you to their place of business). We will then escort you up to the villa and give you a short orientation to the villas features.

Check In & Check Out

Our check in time at the villas is 3 PM, and checkout time is 10AM. This time is necessary to adequately clean and prepare the home for incoming guests. Rarely, an exception can be made when possible, but only with prior approval.

Refundable Damage Deposit

Any accidental damage up to $500 is covered by your security deposit waiver. However, damages that are due to negligence, malice or abuse are not covered by this policy. In this case, charges will be made on guest credit card for full amount of damages, including attorney’s fees when necessary.

What if I have to cancel?

We hope it will not be necessary for you to cancel, but we understand life happens. However, should you need to do so, it is important that we are notified immediately so we have an opportunity to re-book your dates. You may cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your arrival. If you cancel within 60 days of your arrival, any refund of deposit(s) will be only to the extent that the Villa is rebooked for the same time period at the same rate. The security/damage deposit and VI Hotel Tax is not subject to cancellation charges and will be refunded in full to the extent that they were collected. For peace of mind we recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Guest Limit

Villa 459 is a two person occupancy villa; no additional guests are accepted. Any misrepresentation will be reason for immediate eviction from villa, with no refund. Sorry... No children.
